One of the core values of Don Bosco schools is to nurture students in joy, freedom, and friendship. To achieve this, schools organize various para-academic activities that support learning while fostering recreation and socialization. These activities include sports, entertainment, and other recreational events that contribute to students’ holistic development.
In this spirit, on January 29, 2025, IFAK students organized a Talent Show, an event that was well attended by students, teachers, and school authorities. The occasion provided a platform for students to showcase their unique abilities in various fields, demonstrating that education extends beyond academics.
During the event, Rev. Fr. Jean Bosco Ntirenganya, the Headmaster of IFAK, emphasized the importance of talent development in shaping a brighter future. He encouraged students to embrace their gifts with confidence:
“The talents you showed here are amazing. I urge you to uplift them so that they will help you to have a better future. Do not be afraid of showing your talent because God gave it to you so that it could benefit you and others.”
The Talent Show served as part of the preparations for St. John Bosco’s Feast, celebrated annually on January 31. Students exhibited their skills in a variety of activities, including: Sports competitions – Football, Volleyball, and Basketball, Debate competitions, Modern dance and singing performances, Fashion design and traditional fashion showcases, Karate demonstrations and Drawing and artistic exhibitions.
The fashion segment was particularly remarkable, with student designers displaying both traditional and modern outfits. This creative display highlighted the students’ innovation and cultural appreciation.
The Headmaster reassured students that IFAK is committed to nurturing their talents and providing necessary support to help them develop their skills further. He expressed the school’s vision of producing graduates who will not only excel academically but also contribute positively to society through their unique abilities.
The IFAK Talent Show 2025 proved to be more than just an event—it was a celebration of creativity, self-expression, and the boundless potential of young minds. With continued encouragement and support, these students are set to make a lasting impact on their communities and beyond.
