The parish of Mary Help of Christians Kimihurura, carries out the Parish Pastoral Project in the Archdiocese and in the city of Kigali, with special attention to the integral education of young people.
WHO WE ARE
The parish of Mary Help of Christians Kimihurura, carries out the Parish Pastoral Project in the Archdiocese and in the city of Kigali, with special attention to the integral education of young people.
The parish was officially established on October 2, 2021, by the Archbishop of Kigali, Antoine Kambanda, with Father Cesar Augustin Habanabakize, SDB, becoming its first Parish Priest.
It is a parish led by the Salesians and operates in collaboration with the leadership of the Church within the Archdiocese of Kigali, following the agreements between the Salesian Congregation and the Archdiocese of Kigali.
The Mary Help of Christians Parish consists of 18 small Christian communities. The Kimihurura sector, where it is located, has a population of 16,425, including 3,085 Catholic Christians. The Mary Help of Christians Parish is home to nearly 3,000 Christians.
