The 2024/2025 academic year at IFAK Don Bosco Kimihurura has officially begun. Students were urged to work hard, maintain discipline, and take good care of school properties. The first term started on September 9, 2024, and will run until December 20, 2024.

In his address, the school’s Principal, Rev. Father Ntirenganya Jean Bosco, welcomed new Senior One and Senior Four students, as well as other newcomers. He encouraged them to start studying early and avoid last-minute cramming.

“The best students earn their promotion by excelling in the first two terms,” said Rev. Father Ntirenganya. “To be promoted, you need at least 70% in every subject.”

He emphasized that discipline is just as important as academic excellence.

“You can’t be promoted if you lack discipline, even if you score 90% in all subjects. Discipline is the foundation, and at IFAK, we have zero tolerance for indiscipline.”

The Principal also welcomed new teachers and administrators to the school.

Isaïe Mwizerwa, the Dean of Studies, echoed the call for early preparation, urging students not to wait until the end of the term to begin working hard.

“Start today. Don’t wait for panic at the end of the term,” said Mwizerwa.

“Even if you don’t have many notes yet, begin working now.” He reminded students that failing even one subject, whether core or subsidiary, could lead to repeating the year.

As IFAK Don Bosco Kimihurura embarks on this exciting new academic year, we are committed to fostering an environment where every student can thrive, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.
