On Friday, February 7, 2025, Fr. Gabriel Ngendakuriyo, Provincial Superior of the Africa of Great Lakes Province (AGL), conducted a canonical visit at IFAK Don Bosco, where he engaged with students and teachers and toured various school facilities.

Fr. Ngendakuriyo began his visit by addressing students and teachers during the Morning Talk session before touring classrooms, laboratories, the computer lab, and other areas. The purpose of his visit was to assess the school’s current state and explore ways to further its development.

He expressed gratitude to parents for entrusting their children to IFAK, ensuring they receive an education that benefits them, the country, and the world. He also commended the teachers, emphasizing the invaluable role they play in shaping future generations, stating that “there is no great person in the world who has not passed through the hands of a teacher.”

The annual NESA ranking has placed IFAK among the top 50 schools in the country in national exam performance. Fr. Ngendakuriyo assured that all necessary efforts would be made to further improve the school’s standing.

“We will continue working together to keep our school among the top in the country. Everything necessary is available, and what is lacking, we will strive to acquire, so we achieve our mission of nurturing good Christians and honest citizens” he said.

He also announced plans to construct a new hall, which will serve as a space for Morning Talks and other daily activities for the students.
